    Episode Trivia

In this episode, Professor Max Bloom dies. This is the first death on 'The O.C.'

    Episode Gay Kiss Count: 1

Response To Goof: The pool rules I always played by said that the person who sinks the cue ball has to bring up one of their previously-sunk balls, instead of giving the other player an extra turn. If these are the rules they're using, it would make sense for Caleb not to have two shots in a row.

Goof: When Ryan and Caleb are playingpool, Ryan sinks the white ball. Caleb then has a shot and hits his ball, but misses the hole. He should then have another shot because Ryan sunk the white ball, but it is then Ryan's turn again.

Goof: At minute 35-36 when Caleb says "Good Shot", you see a part of the pool table, and you see NO red ball at the left side of the table (from Caleb and Ryan's view), then after the camera angle changes and Ryan is about to play, you see a view of the table, and you see a red ball at the left side of the table.

    Episode Quotes

Julie: Marissa, when I was in Europe, I did some real soul searching.
Marissa: I hope you didn't hurt yourself.

    Alex: I don't do Valentine's Day first dates. I think it's a jinx.
    Marissa: Ok.
Alex: But next week, when we don't have Hallmark breathing down our necks, we'll go on a date.

    Summer: Are you okay?
Seth: Yeah, I'm just allergic... to... the universe.

    (After Ryan apologizes)
Caleb: Thank you, Ryan, I realize it wasn't easy for you to string so many words together.

Seth: (about Summer) Our noses grazed, and it was like the most sexually charged noze graze in the history of nose grazes. It's essentially nose humping is what it is.
